GUNGHA II Sailing Adventures The Detail

GUNGHA II is a large ocean-going yacht that voyages into the Pacific annually. We have plenty of sheltered seating, clean toilets and hot outside showers. Our safety gear is designed for heavy ocean work and our policies are designed to keep our travellers safe at all times. We need your co-operation and require you to listen carefully to our onboard pre-trip safety briefing. Passengers are encouraged to advise the crew of any concerns and we will try to help.

A moderate level of fitness is required for this tour. If you are doubtful of your suitability for sailing on a boat that will be moving please talk to us first and we can either re-assure you or direct you to another more suitable activity. Unfortunately we are unable to provide wheelchair accessibility.

Notes

Minimum numbers apply. Please try to confirm your booking 24 hours prior to departure. Please make sure we have your correct contact details when making your booking.

All departures are subject to demand, sea and weather conditions. If a tour is cancelled by the operator you will be offered a full refund or a go-again voucher.

If you cancel your booking or fail to arrive for a scheduled departure you may receive no refund. Individual bookings may be refunded if we are notified within 48 hours of departure. Group booking (4 or more passengers) may be refunded if we are notified within 72 hours of departure. Private charter bookings may be refunded if we are notified withing 1 month of departure.

All day sailing tours are smoking/vaping and alcohol free. BYO alcohol in limited amount may be allowed on private charter when agreed with the Captain. Passengers will be required to sail barefoot.

Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a towel. Please do not bring chilly bins, diving or fishing gear. We will be sailing!

We do not target or swim with dolphins. Our encounters occur naturally and are often brief. Marine mammals protection regulations are strictly observed.

We will be visiting a wildlife sanctuary and must do all we can to protect this fragile environment. You will be required to leave rucksacks and other gear aboard unless previously agreed. Many guests will swim to the beach and our crew will follow with the island necessities (hats, shirts and sunnies).

Snorkelling is available to those who are competent swimmers. You may be asked to declare your ability. Snorkelling is supervised but not guided. If your ability is in doubt you may be required to forego snorkelling or to try it at the beach (where you can stand up!) with a competent person alongside.
